I bought these because they were sold as relaxed fit and I already have a pair that fit me well. I never checked the label because I didn’t think to. Upon wearing them they felt tighter than my old pair but I thought they just had to break in. Fast forward about 2 months and I put on my old pair for the first time since I bought these and the old pair is so much more comfortable and “relaxed”. I checked the label on the pairs I got from Amazon and it does not say relaxed fit anywhere. Unfortunately it’s been a couple months since I bought these (2 pairs) and I can’t return them. They aren’t exactly uncomfortable but they could be better. If you order these just make sure to verify they are exactly what you ordered.
I’m fairly happy with the two pairs of Wrangler jeans I bought. The price is very good and the quality is high. What keeps me from giving the 5th star is color.I choose two different colors from the online selection/guide and both pairs of pants delivered were darker than the guide showed. I can live with them but I’d have preferred a bit lighter like shown. What I consider my fault and a warning for anyone reading this that doesn’t know better than me, is that both pairs were bought as the same size but one is flex material, the other (regular) is not. The flex pair is larger in the waist than the other and I think a bit too large. Will it shrink? Hope so. Anyway, the deal is so good that I’ll buy another lighter color one that is not flex.By the way, if you’re wondering about “relax fit”, I been wearing this designation for several years. I’m on the slim side (5′ 9″, 165 lbs, 34″ waist) and they’re very comfortable without being baggy.
I had lost some weight recently, and ordered two pair of these jeans. They fit perfectly and were quite comfortable. Shortly after trying on the first pair, my wife pointed out that there appeared to be an area on the front of the jeans on the left thigh that was not properly dyed. (See photos.) The light colored area adjacent to what look like fold marks are actually areas that are very light in color. I opened the second pair, and found that they had a similar problem in the same area. I thought I would give Wrangler the benefit of the doubt, as I have never had issues with their products before, so I washed them, carefully following the cleaning instructions. This had no effect on the marks, so I have had to arrange to return these for replacement. My concern is that, since this problem occurred on BOTH pair of jeans in the same area, that I might have the same problem with the replacements. I hope not; we will see. Were it not for the dye issue, I would have given these jeans 5 stars.Update: I received two pair of replacement jeans, and they had exactly the same problem! So that is a total of four pair that have the same issue; apparently this is a production problem. I will return them to Amazon (again) but am becoming increasingly disenchanted with Wrangler. What kind of Quality Control allows such significant and obvious problems to be shipped repeatedly??? Reducing rating to one star, but only because zero stars is not an option.Second Update: I sent the photos of these jeans to Wrangler. To my complete surprise, they claim that this is part of the design! They wrote: “We have examined your photos and would like to confirm that this is NOT a defect. This is manufactured into the jeans. It is sometimes called ‘whiskers’ and is a manufactured wear pattern for today’s fashions.” I don’t know why this would be a desired feature, but fashion is not my strong suit. Nor is this mentioned in the Amazon web page for this item. I have changed the rating to three stars; no advertising of this “feature” on Amazon, but they fit well.
